An international Yoga day that falls on the 21st of June every year will be acknowledged a little earlier in Palau on 16 June, Sunday at Ngarachamayong Culutral Center from 7 in the morning to 8.
The event is organized Embassy of India located in Manila, The Taj Palau, Omkar Yoga Palau, Office of the President, Ministry of Health.
The manager at Taj Palau said that there will be space for approximately 100 people and participants are requested to carry Yoga Mats.
There have been proven health benefits of Yoga, research of which are available at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed, which stores archives from US National Library Of Medicine.
The multiple research states Yoga is beneficial especially in decreasing stress, anxiety, heart health, depression, sleep quality and in improving flexibility.
Although if done in an incorrect manner without guidance and training, it can lead a person to a hospital as it is with most physical exercises.
However, many Yoga teachers suggest a consistency of a year in the practice to reap the benefits of Yoga and not to practice it unless trained. (By Eshan Kalyanikar)
