Woman from Ngchesar wins car from Independence Day raffle

An elderly woman went home with a new car yesterday evening as she won the raffle for the Independence Day Celebration sponsored by the Independence Day Committee.

The car key for the Nissan X-Trail 2009 was handed by Vice President Raynold Oilouch, who chaired this year’s committee for Independence Day celebration, to Josephine Kingzio, a resident of Ngchesar State.

Kingzio said that the car she won is like a birthday gift to her as she had just celebrated her 69th birthday on September 29.

“I did not know what to say. I was shocked. I feel like I’m so blessed,” Kingzio said, still ecstatic from the unexpected win.

She shared that she just wished that at least a resident of Ngchesar should win the prize but she never thought it will be her.

Kingzio, who is of Christian faith, expressed her gratitude to God.

According to Kingzio, the car she won will serve as a replacement to the broken car she owned. She said that they only have two cars and one of it is broken.
