A high-level dialogue between the United Nations (UN) officials and Palau government will be held at the National Capitol on October 10.
The dialogue is part of the annual United Nations Pacific Strategy (UNPS), a “strategic framework that outlines the collective response of the UN system to development priorities” in Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTs).
The dialogue has two phases which commenced on October 7 with the technical consultation meeting with implementing partners while the next phase will be the high-level dialogue on October 10.
The information provided to the media bared that the purpose of the dialogue is to discuss the contributions of the UN to the nation’s development priorities and also to be able to consult the government and civil society organizations, among others, in advancing implementation progress of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
