Weather report from Palau National Weather Service Office, a NOAA Affiliate office,  as of 10 am|September 4, 2019

A weather report by the Palau National Weather Service Office, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) affiliate office shows “a tropical disturbance is centered over Yap island about 250NM Northeast of Palau. Numerical weather prediction models see the disturbance moving West today wobbling near 10N.

It’s a weak and disorganized system but heavy showers can be found on the Western half of the disturbance, just North of the main islands of Palau. Prevailing West winds are moderate to strong and may gust up to 30KT today.

Winds are hazardous for small craft through tonight. Regional and local special weather statements, and regional and local small craft advisories have been issued for Palau. As the disturbance moves West then eventually Northwest it will enhance monsoon West to Southwest flow over the islands. Shower coverage and duration varies and it may get heavy at times. Weather should gradually improve but temporarily on Friday.”(Palau National Weather Service Office, a NOAA Affiliate office)
