Three Palauans attend JICA KCCP training in Japan

Three Palauans identified as Andrea Naivana, Josiah Perez Emmanuel, and Zachary Remengesau are now participating in the JICA KCCP training held in Japan.

Andrea Naivana from Angaur State Government is attending a training on Ecotourism for Officials on Nature Conservation.

Through this training, participantswillunderstandhow topromoteand developconservation and project plansincorporating ecotourismin andaround naturereserveswithmechanismsand techniquesshewilllearn during thetraining.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel of the Palau Public Utilities Corporation (PPUC) is currently attending Renewable Energy and Diesel Power Operation in Small Islands  training.                                                      In this training, he will learn how to plan Hybrid system composed by Photovoltaic power generation (PV), Wind power generation (WT), and diesel generators (DEG), introducing and disseminating renewable energy in micro-gridsystems.   He will also understand the issues to be considered in the implementation of renewable energy in micro-grid systems, and how to design solar power generation facilities using calculation and drawing software.

Remengesau of the Division of Marine Law Enforcement is also participating in Marine Law Enforcement training. The training provides capacity building to enhance Maritime SafetyCooperation System.

It is geared towards making a strong international network for combating piracy among the regions of Asia, Middle East, and Africa.
