“True giving is not something we do for someone, but it is our consent to let the flow of God flow through us to that person.” -Eric Butterworth
I heard on the radio a question by a caller wondering why a newly built library at our community college bore the name of a foreigner. I was like, “Wow how did we come to think like this?” –an attitude of entitlement. How immature! How dare we presume to deserve anything – money or building without working for it! The sound of such question revealed something about our mental belief that we are worthy of all that is good – sitting under the proverbial pigeon pooping all over us. We’re sorry.
