The Senate has agreed to co-host PICRC’s 18th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner Gala, PICRC’s biggest event of the year.
The theme for the 18th Anniversary, “Building a Strong Foundation for a Resilient Future”, reflects both the Center and the Senate’s deep respect for the leaders of the past who had built the foundation of conservation that we continually build upon today. Now, more than ever, we must all work together to ensure we remain resilient as we face many local and global challenges. This theme reminds us of our collective responsibility to be stewards of our marine ecosystems.
In a letter to PICRC, President Hokkons Baules confirmed the OEK’s commitment to co-host this year’s anniversary.
“I commit our office to co-host this event to demonstrate our appreciation for the accomplishments of PICRC and in support of its future endeavors in preserving our ecosystems” shared President Baules in his letter.
“We are grateful and excited that the Senate will co-host the Center’s 18th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner Gala. This once a year event has become our biggest event of the year and we are confident that with the support and partnership from the Senate, it will be a successful event. We thank Senate President Hokkons Baules and all Senators of the 10th OEK for their support to the Center and the work that we do” PICRC CEO, Dr. Yimnang Golbuu said.
The 18th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner Gala will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019. Funds raised by this event will go directly to support the Center’s research and educational programs. Tickets are now available for $100.00 per person. For more information, please contact Ms. Jenna Mersai at 680-488-6950 or firstname.lastname@example.org. (PR)
