Responsible Tourism Workshop to be held for Taiwan Tourist Operators

Taiwan Tour Operators in Palau will take on a Responsible Tourism Workshop on November 25 at the Penthouse Hotel. The workshop will be conducted by the Responsible Tourism Committee of Palau. [restrict]
The goal of the workshop is to assist tour operators establish, adopt and implement responsible tourism best practices. The objectives which are put in place is to build awareness of responsible tourism best practices, adding values worth benefiting the tourism industry and introducing consequences for practices which are not uphold.
The outcome of the workshop will expect tour operators adopt these practices to link values with their businesses in order to understand all underlined rules, regulations and penalties.
Similar workshops are planned to be held in the near future for other potential tour operators from Korea and Japan.
The Responsible Tourism Campaign Committee is comprised of officers from the Bureau of Tourism, Palau Conservation Society, Palau Visitors Authority, Melekeok State Government, Koror State Government and Palau International Coral Reef Center.
