The former NFL star wide receiver says the team is lacking a shut down cornerback in their defensive secondary which is one reason the Green Bay Packers left Dallas with a victory in the NFC Divisional Round. Considering quarterback Aaron Rodgers racked up 355 passing yards and two touchdowns that day, Moss has a point.
“The Dallas Cowboys offense is very good, we know that,” said Moss, via The Dallas Morning News. “Where they really need to get better to me, personally, the thing they’re missing out there is one lock down corner that can just follow a [No. 1] all over the field.
“I think that’s their priority this offseason.”

Although the CB corps overachieved in 2016, they still fell short with takeaways, which wasn’t helped by both starters Morris Claiborne and Orlando Scandrick missing significant time.
Rookie CB Anthony Brown turned out to be a breakout pick and could be the shutdown corner the Cowboys need going forward, but with the durable Brandon Carr joining Claiborne in free agency, the need for a true threat in the unit is a dire need this offseason.
There’s certainly talent to be had in the free agent pool, but expect the team to continue their familiar model of building through the draft. [/restrict]
