Join in on the festivities at Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) all month long.
This week, PICRC and partners are throwing an Educational Carnival to celebrate the Center’s 18th Anniversary on January 9, 10, and 11.
School groups and individuals can visit the Center to participate in the fun. Palau Conservation Society, Palau National Marine Sanctuary, Coral Reef Research Foundation, and Belau Watershed Alliance will all be there to celebrate and educate.
Students will learn about fisheries, freshwater conservation, marine pollution, and what it means to “Build a Strong Foundation for a Resilient Future”, the theme for PICRC’s 18th Anniversary.
The carnival runs from 9 AM to 3 PM on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 9 AM until 12 PM on Friday. Though school visits have been prescheduled, PICRC would like to encourage everyone to stop by and join in the celebration.
To top it off, for the entire month of January, Palau Aquarium is offering free entry for all Palauans and residents. Stop by with your family and friends and celebrate 18 years of Palau’s lead research Center and Aquarium. (PR)
