The result of the Paris Agreement will come into force on November 4, three days before the 22nd Conference of Parties (COP) scheduled for Morocco, starting on November 7 and four days before the U.S. Presidential election.

The Paris Agreement shall enter into force on the 30th day after the date on which at least 55 Parties to the Convention, accounting in total for at least an estimated 55 % of the total global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have deposited their instruments of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession with the Depositary.
President of the Republic of Palau H.E Tommy E. Remengesau Jnr attended the signing in which he announced Palau’s stand in solidarity and support to its submission.

He also took the chance and congratulated big emitters such as China, India, European Union countries and others for a decision well done. He continued to urge those that have not ratified the Paris treaty to do so. [/restrict]
