Acting Director of Immigration Flavin Misech reported that as of this year, they have two refugee cases, a Syrian family of three and an Iranian. There are about 30 Nepalese who are here as result of human trafficking.
Under the agreement, the two countries will work together to strengthen information sharing, personnel exchanges and training. These exchanges will boost capacity of Palau in combating human trafficking and other immigration issues.
