Ninety-year-old Mr Tomkins wen

  23 Feb 2018

Ninety-year-old Mr Tomkins went in for his annual checkup. When the doctor asked how he was feeling, he said, “Never been better! I’ve got an 18 year-old bride who’s pregnant with my child! What do you think about that?” [restrict]

The doctor considered this for a moment. “Let me tell you a story,” he said. “I knew a guy who was an avid hunter. One day he went out in a hurry and accidentally grabbed his umbrella instead of his gun. He was in the woods and suddenly a grizzly bear appeared in front of him! He raised up his umbrella, pointed it at the bear, and squeezed the handle. And do you know what happened?”

“No,” the old man said. “Tell me.”

“The bear dropped dead in front of him!”

“That’s impossible! Someone else must have shot that bear.”

“That’s kind of what I’m driving at,” the doctor replied.

Justice prevailed

A junior partner in a law firm was sent to a far away country to represent a long-term client accused of robbery.

After days of trial, the case was won, the client acquitted and released.

Excited about his success, the attorney e-mailed the firm: â??Justice prevailed.â?

The senior partner replied in haste, ??Appeal immediately.

roblem With Women

“Doc,” said the young man lying down on the couch, “You’ve got to help me! Every night I have the same horrible dream. I’m lying in bed when all of a sudden five women rush in and start tearing off my clothes.”

The psychiatrist nodded, “And what do you do?”

“I push them away!”

“I see. And what can I do to help you with this?”

The patient implored, “Please–break my arms!”

E-mail Me a Prayer

I had been teaching my three-year-old daughter, Caitlin, the Lord’s Prayer. For several evenings at bedtime, she would repeat after me the lines from the prayer.

Finally, she decided to go solo. I listened with pride as she carefully enunciated each word, right up to the end of the prayer:

“Lead us not into temptation,” she prayed, “but deliver us some e-email. Amen.[/restrict]
