MOJ participates in the 6th Adopt-a-Highway Project
On October 26, 2018, the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) continued its sixth (6th) President’s Adopt-a-Highway Project. This initiative was introduced for all Ministries to participate in and to adopt an area along the main highway that will be cleaned every last Friday of the Month beginning at 3:30 p.m. MOJ is in charge of the area from the Palau Visitor’s Authority all the way to Long Island Park.
The Bureau of Public Safety (BPS), Bureau of Maritime Security and Fish & Wildlife Protection, and Bureau of Immigration and Labor under the Ministry of Justice participated in this activity and yielded three (3) trash bags filled with trash. The number of trash bags has been decreasing significantly as a result of the initiative. This is a great opportunity to get the exercise and workout to all MOJ personnel and further in line with the theme for this year as the “Year of Good Health”.
The Ministry further invites and encourages any individual who might be interested in joining the Ministry’s program to join in. It further extends its appreciation to all Bureaus and Division’s personnel that participated in the activity. (PR)
