Mr. Nagoya arrived in Palau on March 1st to intern with PICRC and will stay in Palau for a month. During his days at PICRC, he will assist Asap Bukurrou and Harlen Herman in the aquarium. Mr. Nagoya has already demonstrated his skills in the field collecting fish and shown his dedication to working hard in the aquarium. In his time as an intern for the Palau Aquarium, he hopes to learn about Palau’s environment and fish species. Mr. Nagoya hopes to gain new insight through this experience that he can apply to his work back in Japan.
According to Geraldine Rengiil, Director of Research and Aquarium at PICRC, “The internship program is an important program for the Center. The interns benefit from the experience, skills and knowledge gained while working at the Center. The Center in turn benefits from the interns time and energy they bring to the Center’s programs”.
