Min. Chilton, Ambassador Tseng and leaders witness ribbon cutting of renovated civic center

 

On October 25th, the Office of the President with Capital Improvement Projects Office of the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Industries & Commerce and the Ministry of Community & Cultural Affairs held the official handover and ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly restored Palau Civic Hall formerly known as the Palau Civic Center. This project was fully funded by the Government of the Republic of China-Taiwan Stimulus Funds, in the total amount of $700,000USD. The ceremony was graced with the presence of His Excellency Michael Y. K. Tseng Ambassador of the Republic of China-Taiwan and Jason Chih-Sheng Huang – Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of China-Taiwan, Paramount High Chief Ibedul Yutaka M. Gibbons, Paramount High Chief Reklai Raphael B. Ngirmang, other members of the Council of Chiefs, Ministers, Governors, Pastor Hiob Ngirachemoi and a few senior citizens from the Old Age Center.

Again, the Office of the President with Palau leadership and community, would like to express their deepest appreciation to the ROC, Taiwan Government for funding the restoration project of the Palau Civic Hall (Official Project Name: Palau Civic Center Restoration Project). [/restrict]
