The United States Marines who participated in the Koa Moana Military exercise last week had completed several construction-related improvements and disposal of ordnance, among others.
Aside from the joint military exercise with the Palau law enforcers, the Marines also embarked on several activities including the completion of improvement works at Palau’s airport where they built a cover for the backup generator and also built fences.
The Marines also collaborated with other agencies such as the Norwegian People’s Aid in properly disposing unexploded ordnance.
The US Marines were here in Palau for the military exercise that kicked off on November 26.
They also visited schools to talk about combating illegal drugs and human trafficking and also inform students of opportunities that are available for them in the US military.
The Task Force Koa Moana concluded their activities in Palau last Friday November 30, by engaging with the locals through sports. (Rhealyn C. Pojas)
