Japan opens congratulatory book on the enthronement of Emperor Naruhito

The Japan Embassy in Palau opened the congratulatory book on the occasion of the enthronement of Emperor Naruhito from May 8-17.

During the opening of the book, many people including government officials and Japanese residents visited the Embassy to extend their warm felicitations to Japan’s new Emperor and Empress by signing the congratulatory book.

Japan bid farewell to the Heisei era which ended after 31 years and welcomed the 1st year of Reiwa era. The new Reiwa era that began together with the Imperial Succession on May 1 this year means “beautiful harmony”.

This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Palau. In this commemorative year, the Embassy wishes to further enhance the good relationship that exists between our two countries (PR).
