The Bureau of Agriculture (BOA) offers a free seed-germination service to the public at their nursery in Ngchesar State.
According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment, and Tourism’s (MNRET) monthly report for August, BOA’s Horticulture Division is offering the seed-germination service as an aid to all farmers.
Experts from the Bureau will germinate the seeds free of charge.
“After the seed germination, we will contact you to pick up your seedlings,” the report stated, adding that they will only ask to keep 40% of the seeds admitted to them by the farmers.
Different plants are also available for sale at the nursery with prices that range only to as low as $0.50 to $5.00.
Plants include mango seedlings, air-lay mango, kingkang, blue beans, snow peas, cucumber, nappa, tomatoes, spring onion, breadfruit, sour soup, sweet sap, mountain wax apple, decor, and some ornamental plants.
BOA said that interested individuals can contact them thru 622-5804 for further information. (Rhealyn C. Pojas)
