Belau National Hospital has received a total of $1000 in donations to improve two patient rooms from ten Palauans residing in Chicago.
On the 3rd of May, Minister Emais Roberts and his team received $1,000 in donation that is set to revamp two rooms in the surgical ward.
The Palauans who made the donations are Lorna Nabeyama, Clint Obichang Brel, Zuleika Mad, Uburk & Fritz Clarence, Elginette Ngirmekur, Houston & Jeanne Mad, Alex & Colleen Azuma, Frieda Ongrung- Funk (first room sponsors); Children of Frieda Ongrung-Funk: Andrea Funk and Laylah Funk (Second room sponsors).
On behalf of the Palauan-Chicago resident, Vivian Ngiarsaol-Protine and the Palau Visitors Authority (PVA) Operations & Programs Director, Kadoi Ruluked presented the donation.
The Palauans residing in Chicago challenge all Palauans residing outside of Palau to donate to the Ministry of Health (MOH) and have coined it as the MOH Challenge. This is the second donation they have made this year.
