(Koror, Palau) Former US Secretary of State John Kerry, in a letter to President Tommy Remengesau Jr. on his last day as The Secretary of State conveys his appreciation for the close cooperation between the two countries in the last four years, calling Palau “an irreplaceable partner of the United States in the Pacific”. He expressed his gratitude to Remengesau for his tireless efforts to address critical issues impacting the future of the planet such as the work on climate change and protection of oceans at home and abroad.
“Your tireless efforts on these and other issues reflect our shared ideals,” stated US Secretary of State John Kerry.
