After 75 days missing, the search for a missing woman Ochob Jaycee Sotto Iyar has reached new level. A reward of $5,000 dollars for any information that will lead to whereabouts of Ms. Ochob Jaycee Sotto Iyar is now offered. [restrict]
The Office of the President and Division of Public Safety joined forces to put more effort and resources to the search. President Remengesau Jr. has also directed the Belau Drug Enforcement Taskforce to assist Public Safety in the search, allocating more resources to the effort.
Ms. Iyar, according to family sources has not been seen after September 17 when she had reportedly told the family that she will be going to Guam. Two weeks later family found out that she never arrived in Guam and there were no records of her ever departing from Palau.
Her disappearance was reported to the police on October 22 by her family. Since then, none of the efforts have been successful in locating Ms. Iyar. This lack of progress in the case has prompted the Office of the President to step in and put more resources, funds and manpower to the case.
